Leading life-changing engagements on culture and well-being.

I’ve seen a lot of keynote speakers that promise to motivate, inspire, and provide concrete tools, but fail to deliver. Mark nails this in the first ten minutes.

The future of leading healthy, engaged employees: Your Culture of Well-being

What we remember about the places we work comes down to our experiences with a small handful of people. The executive you respect and trust. The peer you count on for accountability. The up-and-coming leaders you manage. This small group of people defines your relationship with your company. They’re the people we work with the most, meet with, get information from, and know the most about our purpose. And it’s this purpose that impacts our confidence and productivity, our mental health, our physical health, and other aspects of our well-being.

Leading With Empathy: Lessons from "Ted Lasso"

Understanding the perspective of others through empathy can make or break friendships, romantic relationships, and billon-dollar business partnerships. And yet, it’s one of the most challenging, misunderstood, and overlooked aspects of human relationships.

Recent data suggests that 76 percent of people who experienced empathy from their leaders reported they were engaged, a critical factor in designing effective employee communications strategies.

This engaging and interactive conversation will use a series of leadership examples from “Ted Lasso” – a masterclass in showing how to build trust with employees, earn respect from executives, and design a winning culture - empower leaders to use empathy to inspire their employees, teams, and executives to BELIEVE in an idea.

Outcomes:

1) What is empathy, specifically cognitive empathy, and why is it important for relationships?

2) How to use empathy to manage up, down, and across their organization effectively.

3) Embrace the positive impact of bringing outside and unique perspectives into your organization.

4) Design a strategy to inspire employees to believe and buy into an idea.

What leaders say about Mark Mohammadpour

  • "Mark’s unique ability to take his approach to employee well-being, adapt it perfectly to his audience, and deliver a relatable, practical, and actionable approach that we can implement right away is inspiring. We asked Mark to kick off our annual manager meeting, with more than 200 people coming to Omaha from around the country. We needed a speaker who could engage with the audience while delivering value in a short amount of time. And Mark did exactly that. So much so that teams are more mindful of building empathetic relationships, watching the number of meetings they hold or participate in, and taking time to connect and check in with one another more authentically. Overall, more than 95 percent of attendees responded with a highly favorable opinion of the talk. The team was so impressed we’ve hired Mark to host follow-up conversations to ensure we’re living a culture of well-being. We cannot recommend Mark enough for your team.”

Ashley Hickson, Internal Communications, Mutual of Omaha

  • "Mark Mohammadpour firmly subscribes to the time-proven Service Profit Chain: happy and healthy people = happy and healthy clients = happy and healthy businesses. Mark captivated our community of executives with his data-driven and people-centric approach to well-being. His deep agency experience allows him to authentically relate to agency leaders and the challenges they face as they work to balance the needs of their people, their clients and their bottom lines. Partnering with Mark is an asset for any company looking for a strategic employee well-being partner to reduce turnover and help meet their business objectives.”

    Kim Sample, CEO, PR Council

  • "Energizing a group at night via Zoom requires an exceptional presenter - Mark exceeded expectations. Mark and his talk with our audience was the perfect tonic for a cold, snowy evening."

    Rose McKinney, APR, Fellow PRSA

  • "I offered a unique challenge to Mark and I knew he'd be up to the challenge. I invited him to lead an "unplugged" workshop - this means no PowerPoint, no screens, no laptops, nothing. A pure workshop. And Mark rose to the challenge. And another great benefit of having Mark at your events - no need to babysit him. He'll show up and deliver for the audience."

Chuck Gose, Head of Community & Customer Advocacy, Firstup

  • "I had the pleasure of working with Mark when I served as co-chair of the PRSA Counselors Academy Spring Conference in New Orleans. Mark was easy to work with, flexible and helpful in his follow-up and interactions. He delivered a (brand-new) terrific presentation that was well received by the audience. I'd work with Mark again and am happy to recommend him."

    Ben Finzel, President, RENEW PR

  • "Not only did Mark tailor the content to the specific needs of our group, but he seamlessly integrated the three topics - personal well-being, building empathy, team well-being - into one session, keeping everyone engaged in the process. One participant even said it was one of the most people-focused conversations they had been a part of in three years; telling words as we all struggle with impacts from the pandemic. Mark's content was timely, accessible and thought-provoking. As organizers, we felt confident Mark was well versed in speaking to our group about public relations AND personal well-being. He is welcoming, thoughtful and professional."
